Another way to practice a scale whether it be a Major, Minor, Pentatonic, etc. is to try these patterns below. So for instance if this was C major Scale. You would play C. Then C, D, C. Then C, D, E, D, C. Then C, D, E, F, E, D, C. And so on, adding another note each time. The 1 below represents the first note of the scale. 2 represents the second note of the scale, and so on. Try it spanning two octaves.
